Welcome to Our Site With over 60 years of experience, we provide full service to all year Mustangs and other classic 50's and 60's Fords. Bob Hotchkiss opened the shop in 1987 with his son Chris Hotchkiss under the name Route 66 Service Center. Chris's wife Jane joined the team in 1990. In 2008 Bob retired and the business was re-opened under the new name Route 66 Pony Works LLC. Chris and his wife Jane now operate the shop. Chris is the head mechanic and has been working on Mustangs and classic Fords for over thirty five years. Jane is charge of the new and used parts inventory and has been working with Mustangs for over twenty years.

Route 66 Pony Works LLC has one employee Daryl Sment. Daryl works with Chris on the classic Mustangs, specializing in custom metal fabrication, rust repair and general maintenance. To keep these classic beauties on the road for years to come we can do anything from oil changes and brake upgrades to full restorations and custom builds. We also have a reputation for being one of the only shops in New Mexico rebuilding original sixties Ford power steering systems. Along with general service we offer free pre-purchase and safety inspections. Commitment to perfection and quality are our standards.

Route 66 Pony Works is dedicated to the memory of oldest son Chris J Hotchkiss(CJ) (22) who was also part of our team from the beginning. Growing up and working along side his father Chris and grandfather Bob. He was tragically killed in 2004 on his way to work. A fly by night trucker t-boned him at a high rate of speed in his 1966 Ford Mustang. He is and will forever be our inspiration to the commitment of quality workmanship and up most safety.
